Isaiah 33:2;6

"O Lord, be gracious to us; we long for you.  Be our strength every morning, our salvation in times of distress... He will be the sure foundation for your times, a rich store of salvation and wisdom and knowledge; the fear of the Lord is the key to this treasure."

How deeply do you long for God?  Can you feel it in your gut?  Does it make you physically uncomfortable at times?  Does everything within you yearn for intimacy with the one true creator?  Isaiah's sentiment is clear:  We are desperate for the Lord.

But more than that we are in desperate need of the Lord; to be our strength every morning and our salvation when trouble comes (when, not if).  Think about your life for a second.  Do you embrace each new day or dread the thought of waking up?  Do you live life fully or just struggle to get by?  I will tell you the truth:  Life was not meant as something to just make it through one more day.  You were made to enjoy life and enjoy it to the fullest, but you weren't made to enjoy it alone.

It is this Branch of Jesse (Isaiah 11:2) that becomes our foundation.  When we fall (when, not if), we do not fall back into the abyss.  We return right to our foundation so we are able to stand again.  So fear God and you will never have need of fear again.
