Jeremiah 9:23-24

"Thus says the LORD
'Let not the wise man boast in his wisdom,
let not the mighty man boast in his might,
let not the rich man boast in his riches,
but let him who boasts boast in this,
that he understands and knows me,
that I am the LORD who practices steadfast love,
justice, and righteousness in the earth.
For in these things I delight' declares the LORD."

Who is like the Lord?  To what can we compare Him for there is no one like Him in all the Earth.  Indeed to say that you could fathom the mysteries of God himself is indeed a thing to boast about.

And boast we can.

God has revealed himself apart from the Scriptures (but to which they testify) in the living incarnation of the Word made flesh, Jesus Christ.  All who have seen him have seen the Father so that no one may be without excuse.  God has made himself known so that all who come to the Father through the Son may be made known to him.  Jesus Christ is the embodiment of steadfast love, justice, and righteousness in whom the Father is "well pleased". (Mark 1:11)

So we boast in Jesus Christ, the giver of all good things and the maker of heaven and earth, who died and rose again to give us glory in the Father's court.  We know who we worship and he knows us. Hallelujah!  Jesus Christ is Lord!
